Virtual Vector is shutting down

Hi everyone,

I've made the difficult decision to end the Virtual Vector newsletter. Today, for all paying subscribers, I've started processing refunds adjusted to the beginning of the hiatus in February. Stripe says it can take 5-10 days for refunds to appear on a customer's statement. Please contact me at mathew@virtualvector.xyz if you have any concerns.

Long story short, I am dealing with health issues that have made it extremely difficult to work on the newsletter. I haven't felt like I'm at full capacity since coming down with Covid late last year. I'm seeking treatment and I hope I'll be able to return to writing regularly in some form or another soon, but for now I need to put that time and energy toward recovery.

I want to give a huge thank you to everyone who supported Virtual Vector. I only had the newsletter going full tilt for a few months, but I'm proud to have built up this audience in that time. If you'd like to hear more from me on AR and VR in the future, you can stay signed up to the mailing list if you'd like. I can't guarantee anything, but depending on how I'm feeling in a few months' time I might send out the occasional free post summing up my thoughts on recent industry news. For other stray thoughts you can follow me on Twitter (for as long as it's still around, I guess) and if you'd like to get in touch about anything else, my email address and LinkedIn can be found at my personal website.

Best,
Mathew Olson
